I spent this past January at the Winter Residency at Penland School of Craft conducting a materials test for papermaking in general and for some future paper sculpture projects. As always, it was incredibly productive.
I experimented with both materials and processes with some great success and also some unexpected, but welcome, results. I've come away with some new lines of inquiry and some winding rabbit trails to follow.
